The Online Conference Room
Discussion
The OmniPilot Agency Online Conference Room (OCR) uses the Internet as a digital communications hub between your agency and your clients. Each client has their own password where they login and see all their Jobs with the current status, the proofs and the production schedule. They can click to email anyone on their team, and they can even submit feedback online that appears directly in OmniPilot Agency.
The OCR has many advantages over email, faxes, couriers and overnight packages: It's free; it's in color; there are no size limitations; many people can view one posting; it's available 24/7 from anywhere in the world; it's instantaneous; and it maintains a version history of every proof. However, it can never supplant a personal presentation, especially when the client is seeing something for the first time.
To setup the OCR, you need a machine that will be set up as a Web server. This does not have to be an existing Web server, it can be any machine -- even an older one -- that can run FileMaker Pro with a dedicated Internet connection. This machine will host the OCR for you. |
