QuickBooks Company Data Workaround
Intuit has identified a problem that in some cases QuickBooks will not return data from a Company Query. The Company Name and Company Type fields, returned from the Company Query, are required to register the plug-in.

Intuit has provided the following workaround to fix this problem.

1. In QuickBooks open the Easystep Interview (from the File menu) and navigate to the General section.

2. Go to the Welcome subsection and start navigating forward or go to the Company Info section and start navigating backward until you reach the "Select Type of your Business" screen.

3. Make sure you select something other than "Other" and navigate to the next screen.

4. Exit the interview by clicking the X in the upper right corner.

5. Close the company file and Exit QuickBooks.

The next time you open the company file you should be able to get the Company Name and the Company Type through the Query Company Data button in the FileBooks LInk Toolkit. After you've done this you can open the company file again and change the company type back to "Other" if you wish and the Company Query will still work.

If this does not fix the problem, please e-mail support@filebookslink.com.
